We are having a all company meeting in Renton Sunday through Weds. I am coordinating it and am honestly getting a little concerned I will even be able to get there. We have 20 people flying in on Sunday and at this point as thrilled as I am about the snow, I am also a little stressed out .

Total snow through Saturday morning.   The Seattle snow is almost all on Friday night.

Does the moisture cut off after that?

I would have a breakdown having to worry about al of that in the midst of this.  As it is I'm getting a little whacky.

Why don't we get much snow up here?

I think the storm may swing out over the ocean a bit too far south for you to be in the favorable area.  Still a lot of time for details to adjust though.

The GFS ensemble has 850s bottoming around 9C below normal now early next week.  It is also much more robust with the day 10 thing.  This is insane!!!!!

Wider view... Sunday afternoon.    Seems pretty clear now that we are going to a have an absolutely crazy Friday night and Saturday morning in the Seattle area and then it will be quieter and cold the rest of the weekend.

This EURO run is fine, but not nearly as crazy as the 12z

Just wanted to add to Fred's # of members on-line. I am sure he has seen this IP address hundreds of times (not joking). I have learned quite a bit lurking since god knows when (10+ years?). I don't know if most of you are brilliant, or total nut cases. Most likely a combination. Don't plan on exposing my soft under-belly quite yet. SNOW WATCH TIME

Pretty similar if not a bit less than other models are showing down there. But substantially less than nearly every other model is showing up here. Will be interesting which comes out on top.

The issue is the other models keep the low up north longer. The euro sends the low flying south really quick.

I knew after the 12z EURO everyone would hold subsequent model runs to that standard. This run is solid, would be a pretty significant event if it panned out this way. 00z GFS was great. GEM is solid. Ensembles improving. We'll see flucuations, but this map does not suck...For anyone.

Yep, we'd benefit most with a slow moving/stalled low in this case. Could go either way, though more models seem to support a slower moving low at the moment. A fast moving low is not a trend we'd want to see.

I’m gonna bet that the euro will come around to the slow mover tomorrow

You’re complaining about getting 5-7” for PDX here.

I missed the 6-hour designation at the top...
