It's only been cooling off here. Surprised to hear reports of rain that close.

Here currently.

Very heavy snow and gusty winds. All surface covered. Roads will need to be plowed again. This system is much more dynamic than the previous system.

I was expecting the last system to be like this.

Aurora gusting to 35 mph out of the south on the hour. PDX too. Not much precip has made it down here yet. Still 29, but definitely living on borrowed time in that regard.

Fun is over now, temp is above 33 now and the south wind is taking control.

That's our last bit of fun for a while, it seems.

Much wetter.

A serious situation is developing for central and east King County.

It shows more than 3 inches of precipitation by Tuesday morning.   That could be inches 30+ inches of snow.

For your area, possibly. But hi-res NAM doesn't show big accumulation for the population centers. It's just too warm for a good portion of the event. This includes what's falling tonight.

Parents saying there is a bit of melt going on and gusty winds. They said they had a little bit of drizzle before stopping. Anyone else in the Bonney Lake and Buckley area that can report as well?

Nothing but snow shadow for me here on E Lake Tapps. We had light snow for about 40 min ~1600l but then it quit. Even saw some blue sky before sun went down.

Flurrying here, a last hurrah of sorts. Going to savor it before the gross mess that is tomorrow.

Haven't seen snow this heavy in a long time. Reminds me of lake effect snow. 2" down now.

NWS Seattle should have kept the WSW that blanketed today through Tuesday.

Yeah really.

What's the threshold for a warning?
