Down to 29 now here in South Everett!

It's clear the normal bias of scouring out cold air too quickly is occurring. The question is how long this will hold on for.

Seeing reports of rain in Downtown Seattle but will likely go back to snow with heavier precip.

Snowing in Fremont still as I just watched a reporter report there.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

He's a pretty good tv met. Not afraid to let it all hang out and say it how it is.

Yeah he's not too bad. Morgan Palmer on Kiro is also fairly knowledgeable above the normal TV-met level.

I usually turn to those two when is want to watch TV Mets.

Anyways, absolutely huge snowflakes here right now and it looks like another heavy band is just about to move through.

Wow it’s coming down hot and heavy...or I should say cold and heavy! Flakes are definitely bigger...biggest flakes since a week ago Sunday.

Made it up to a high of 37 today. Now 36 with moderate rain/snow mix. Getting up the driveway in 14" of slush was almost impossible even with my AWD vehicle, but I eventually made it.

I see UW roofplot got an upgrade, they have precip recorded and automated precip reader. Currently 32 there, snow, and .4 for the day", so probably around 3". Also it can't be higher than 250', since it's 5 story buildings at most around the fountain. If it's raining anywhere in U-district it's gotta be near the water.

edit: unless of course it's reading the precip type incorrectly

Now think about how you're going to make it back down 12" of isothermal heavy slush after it rain/snows all night at 34F

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but PDX set a record with 7 straight highs in the 30's. Latest in the season, and first time in February.

Officially 5.1" at Sea-Tac today. That puts them at 19.2" on the month!

Both of these stats are incredible.

In a brief break of the snow right now. Getting something that I havent seen since the Blizzard of '16 in Philly, bits of tiny ice pellets blowing about. Checking the snow on the railing, the liquid in that has dropped and the railing remains glazed over. Looking at some of the power lines, they look a little weighted.

I guess the next band moving up is the one that was dropping at some pretty impressive rates. Still at 30º in Everett.

The January 2016 blizzard in Philly? I was living right outside center city at the time in Grad Hospital. Amazing time. Recorded about 26 inches in my little yard. Snow drift completely buried my car. Like, couldn't see a single area of the car exposed. Great time.
