2/26 - 2/28 Multi Wave Event

Tom

Recommended Posts

I've decided to start a thread that will cover the multiple waves during this multi-day event throughout the week.  Models are keeping an active pattern just to the south of the arctic boundary set up across the northern tier of our Sub.  Over the course of this week, there are 2-3 waves that will likely drop some decent snows across the MW/GL's region.

Let's discuss...

First, for the Tue/Wed system the GFS/NAM/GGEM are suggesting the main snows fall from N IL on north...

There is another separate wave showing up on Thu as well...

Funny how nobody's in here cuz it's not looking to slam Neb and Iowa. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers. I'd take another 2-3" plow worthy stat padder if it wants to stop by Marshall

Hahaha. Reviewing 0z models, they're saying "no thanks" to stopping by. Most keep the snow just north of me yet again.

I'm always willing to watch storms that are gonna hit other members on here. It's just not my top priority cuz I have more important work to do.

Looks like it's not going to slam anyone looking at the latest models. GFS and CMC are leaning towards two little 1-3 events. These late feb/early march storms are no fun to watch, they are almost always a disappointment.

From some of the comments I saw the last couple of days, it seems the less us Nebraska posters contribute, the better.‍♂

haha. I personally have zero issues with Nebraska posters. We did, however, have a WMI poster come along and cause quite a stir. Looks like he's history tho

Omg. he actually doxxed you? What a psycho that’s like... very extreme.

Yeah he messaged me telling me that there's time to turn my life around and not be like Tom. Idk, Tom seems to be living a pretty successful life while this loser devotes his time to trolling in his mom's basement. Who should I strive to not be like again?

I’d say someone with a house in arizona and money to travel there fairly often is pretty successful.

What’s up with that random target over Waterloo? I realize that won’t happen, but tbh I’m done with snow and that would make me cry. We have snow day 11 here today- and some serious cabin fever. I need some sun and warm temps- not 6.5 more inches of snow

The reason why the Friday/Saturday storm is weakening/disappearing is the energy near the coast of Washington.  The larger storm scenario had that chunk of energy swinging through the midwest ahead of the PV intrusion.  The euro, however, keeps that energy parked off the coast and never brings it east.  So, we just get a weak inpulse ahead of the cold plunge.
