That EPS is ridiculously warm for later in the month. Going to absolutely destroy these negative anomalies.

I like to see the consistency... here is 10-15 day mean from 12Z EPS:

The EPS has been trying to build in heights just off the west coast for the last 2 weeks.

As it stands right now it still doesn't build in until after day 10. I'll start to believe it once it gets within 7 days.

Given the amount of moisture, I would say this would have equated to a widespread 2” or so in the metro area had this happened at night.

Really hoping we can keep decent precip rates around after sunset. Although at that point we may have to depend on showers more than stratiform stuff, and we all know how fun that is.

Yeah, we've seen this lame script before.

We all know the startiform stuff will bail exactly as it gets cold enough like clockwork. The showers tonight will do pretty well for places with some elevation I think.

The lowest elevation places will have trouble getting a decent shower in the first place, and the temp will be kept just above the valley floor in between showers due to onshore flow. Some random low elevation place will probably get a lucky inch though. Odds of anything widespread are probably done for the season IMO. It is annoying that we came so close to a widespread 2-3 inches if this just came in during the night.

Takes longer in Montana.... but timing is moving up out here.

Heights are building out here even in the 5-10 day period.

SOB struck me out twice in a row the only time I ever faced him. I hated hitting lefties, and he had a nasty fastball that ran in on my hands.

BTW, his coach at WSU wore a d**n batting helmet in the 3rd base coaching box too.

That guy had one of the sweetest swings I’ve ever seen. Effortless.

My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad.

Good one!

Still pretty to see fall, but obviously seeing it accumulate as well would be optimal.

I do like snow and snowfall-related accumulations...

Should’ve saved this for December but you guys never listen.

The more I think about it, Eugene really hasn’t been left out this decade in terms of winter weather. They had a bunch of snow in 2012, heavy snow in December 2013 and February 2014 (in addition to crazy subzero temps), snow in January 2017 after a significant ice storm in December 2016, and decent accumulations in February 2018. Now this year too.

Olerud, Will Clark and Junior. All lefties. All had incredible timing and extension at contact. Effortless is an adequate description and the ball jumped off their bats.

Good call on Will Clark! I was pretty obsessive about swing mechanics back in high school and I remember trying desperately to emulate him.

I wonder if he’s ever seen March snowfall that had trouble accumulating?

Now now, let's keep the bragging to a minimum.

hey man it’s good if it’s snowing where I’m at :) bodes well for everyone’s snow chances tonight if it’s snowing within a mile of the water means it’s gonna cold enough for everyone to probably see snow

There’s just a dusting now but it’s 34 here pretty unexpected

Little known fact....WC honed his skills by swatting the falling snowflakes, thus preventing any accumulation, so I would say yes.

All I’m saying is that they haven’t missed out that much. Plus I bet that as soon as I move there there’s gonna be a ten-year no show streak lol

John Olerude is one of the most underappreciated players on the last few decades. He was a fantastic hitter and an on base machine.

This makes sense. He did always have a grouchy, cancel Christmas look on his face.

Pretty cool to have snow falling in March. I mean it happens every so often, but it's rare enough that when it does it's pretty special. Temp at 34F and dropping, perhaps trying to meet up with the dew point around 32F. :)
