I did not put my rain guage out until April 1 because of the snow so I only have rainfall data from April 1 to today.

Since April 1, I have gotten 10.53" of rain. 4.00" of that fell in April and 6.53" of rain has fallen in May so far.

The other day I figured up the rainfall total for May and was surprised to see it added up to exactly 10”! That may not be exactly right as no gauge is 100% accurate all of the time. Anyway, this was the second wettest May of my records that begin on 1-1-1990. ( May of 1996 was my wettest with 14.17” due partly to a flash flood that month. The third wettest May was in 2001 with 9.85”. ) I’m already up to 27.09” for the year which makes this my wettest first 5 months!! Even wetter than 1993, but I expect it to fall behind that year sometime this month or the next.

Geez. Where are you?

This rain has got to be wrecking the fields. Have any crops gotten in?

North Texas is getting a breather. We'll see how long it lasts.

I'm beside the .62 on the east side of the state.

The fields out west and the river basins to my North and South are experiencing records of all time flooding. Dam and levee failures, etc. It's pretty bad. I'm lucky where I am.

Rivers and lakes here in SEMI are way over their limit. They have crested big time. Any more rainfall will make matters very difficult to handle, in terms of flooding. No wonder every so often, St. Clair Shore County is under a "Flood Watch" or Warning (Jaster, you are probably familiar w this county), where East winds are pushing the waves onshore constantly. Water levels have risen considerably.

Yup, more rain on the way for late tomorrow nite and especially into Thursday b4 tapering off and ending by early evening.

Same here, beach erosion is becoming impactful and some of the docks/piers are under water.  I have yet to go to lake Michigan shore, but I think I'll take a trip this weekend with the warmer weather and see it firsthand.

You may need to pin that down a little more.

Is that in North, Central, or Southern Okla?

62 is quite long.

East central part. Lower Ozarks foothills/plateau.

It was actually the .62 on the map on the east side of the state, but weirdly enough, I live where US 62 crosses into AR.

Lol. Yeah, U.S. 62 is one of the weirdest and longest North to south oriented highways in the US so yeah, I see where that could have been a bit confusing.

Finally found our up to date precipitation through June 24th. My area of Central Nebraska is at 24.13”. Average for the entire year is 25” so the next decent rain will likely pass that. Amazing stuff. July is looking cooler and wetter than average as well.

That's a lot of rain in half the time. Wow.
