What a first severe storm...

Only 0.21" of rain here. Nothing severe at all. I am so tired of Cedar Rapids missing out on good thunderstorms. 

 

We will finish June about 1.5" below normal for rainfall. We better get some very heavy rains and strong storms in July.

Radar is as quiet as it can be here in SEMI. Not a cloud to be found. Gorgeous day! Temps in the 70s w low humidity.

0.48" of rain here on the west side of CR, certainly more than I expected.

1” of rain from that storm, with some more coming through right now.

I like how the western end is strengthening for now. Feeling great outside now. The heat was almost unbearable while I was choring! Still not finished, but wanna watch it roll in first.

The warning wasn’t necessary for the outflow in my area. We’ll see how the actual storm pans out.

I noticed how the leading bow in the line moved right along the outflow west of the Quad Cities from earlier storms. Maybe that was mentioned, but I haven’t been reading all posts yet.

My June rainfall total will finish at 3.76".

3rd round of storms today moving in shortly. Today I’ve doubled the number of t-storms I’ve seen all season so far.

Rainfall total for today is 1.06”. Most of that fell within a 20-25 minute period.

 

June total will be 4.89”.

Rained only 0.18” this evening bringing my June total to 3.88”. That should lower my June average rainfall of 5.59” since 1990, just a little. This is my driest June since 2012.
