Jesse
Late June just isn't typically going to see a lot of rain. Another well below average rain month here. In the past 14 months only two have had above normal precip here. Some broken marine layer here in Salem, look solid a few miles north. At very least the mountains stand to get a good soaking. That's pretty normal. The Cascades are still running a large rainfall deficit over the past few years though, as evidenced by many dying trees. Especially the more moisture dependent species like cedar and hemlock. They have taken a big hit in the mount Hood area down here as well. Then probably the Coquihalla from Merritt to Hope. If you are heading to or from the coast. You should really do hwy 1 thru the Fraser Canyon if you ever get a chance. Much more scenic IMO. There aren’t actually any tunnels on the Coq. There are 7 on the Fraser canyon route, longest one being about 1/3rd of a mile or a little more. But the show has featured many episodes in the canyon as well as the coq. You could do a circle route and see both. Hope to Ashcroft on highway 1. Then Ashcroft over to Merritt then back to hope. That’s a pretty scenic route.

TT-SEA
Gradient is in effect again today from Canada to Eugene. South of Eugene it takes massive leaps and bounds. And RNT had a high of 71 (just 3 miles east of SEA). You need to understand how the c-zone works and how it can be relatively warm just to the south of the c-zone which is what happened today. Its a natural phenomenon and not UHI in this case.
