It started hailing very heavily for about ten seconds, and the power briefly cut out. Looks like some modest, er....stormage, is still occurring right now.

Feeling good about our chances for evening action today throughout the Portland metro.

Good call.

I looked at the radar down there when you made this post and was skeptical.

Rain just stopped. .14” so far. Had some distant thunder during the onset earlier. My kid is currently surrounded by slugs.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Looks like the Portland storms have their eye on King and Pierce counties later tonight... no doubt in a weakened state.

Not really that close at all overall, timing was severely off, horrible.

No... it provided a pretty good guide in general.     I knew it was probably going to be a stormy afternoon here.

Just drove home on I-84... lots of thunder and lightning; torrential rain; and there's a big part of a tree down on the freeway between 181st and Fairview Parkway. Lots of big limbs down all along my street here in Gresham.

I just got home and you weren't kidding. Lots of trees down and debris everywhere. Numerous streets flooded. Took forever to get home.

Bellingham was getting set up to get hit with a pretty decent storm, several lightning strikes just east of Hwy9 around Acme, dark skies to the east, then poof, it disappeared.  We got just enough "rain" to wet the pavement.

My son was down at Lake Whatcom hanging out and I sent him a text warning him to keep an eye on the sky and "you should probably be hearing thunder soon."  OOPS!  Blew that call!

If I wasn't so genuinely impressed with how quickly that storm fell apart it would have been a very disappointing evening.

Even down in Silverton the temp dropped to 54 when the storm came through. Currently 47 and partly cloudy here.

The coming weekend is still looking really nice per the 00Z ECMWF.

And it shows a decent day for the 4th... some marine layer in the morning and then mostly sunny by afternoon.    It has a high of 75 in Seattle and 77 in Portland.

And Friday looks quite a bit warmer... mostly in the 80s.

00Z ECMWF also has more action around Portland tomorrow afternoon... but not much up here.   Looks like a partly sunny afternoon for Seattle.

More coming up there later.

No t-storm, but I did wake up to .81” in the rain gauge.

I’ll take it! My yard will definitely take it!!

I was finishing up my degree the past few months with a big final push the first part of June. I have completely neglected my yard and it is looking ragged as hell. On top of the brown grass it’s full of weeds, hopefully these next few days will green it back up, and I can use some of my newly found free time to get it cleaned up and back in shape!
