July 2019 Weather Discussion for the PNW

Recommended Posts

That pic can't be the one they threw back, that would be illegal after gaffing, Phil just happens to be a part of any extreme possible smh!

If the fish in the pic was the one in question than that is illegal practice to let it go to die, should have just dragged it to release if if was that close to max size.

If it were 126cm or smaller it can be kept as the only Halibut catch for the day and that fish in the pic looks to be well under that length so...

If you think that’s extreme then you’ve never been fishing before. And I got the whole thing on video including the measurement. FWIW there’s a 3cm buffer since you can’t always measure a fish precisely depending on the conditions.

You’re such a dumba**.

Which lodge?

Ocean house, which is at least temporarily converted to a fishing lodge for the time being after the incident with the towing of the Hippa Lodge. Technically this barge used to be the Milbanke Sound lodge before it closed and relocated here for ecotourism or something.

dumba** seems to be the go to at the moment. I think it is dumb to root for warm departures. Oh boy, we had a +3 today. Who cares?

Then its just as dumb to cheer for cold departures.

I just cheer for the weather I like... regardless of the departure.     But warm departures are usually quite pleasant here.

**REPORTED CONDITIONS AND ANOMALIES ARE NOT MEANT TO IMPLY ANYTHING ON A REGIONAL LEVEL UNLESS SPECIFICALLY STATED**

Another + month in summer.

TTD, the closest location to my house finished at +1.3. It was the warmest location in PDX Metro.

On a side note, I was looking at North Bend, OR and they finished at +3.7. What's crazy is that they didn't have one single negative departure day. They only had 1 even deparature day and 30 positive departure days. I don't know how rare that is or it's ever happened at that location but that's always great to see stats like that.

You are really trying to fit a square peg into a round hole here.

Most of the time I try to be. If I'm not, then it's usually because I'm replying to someone else's bias on something and trying to make it fair.

Seems like everyone else has been pretty reasonable about their take on July’s departures, while you have mostly responded with typical biased junk.
