IMO Seattle area and Puget sound is better than Portland in terms of climo…but also the Puget sound and lakes water access, Olympic mountains and the Washington cascades. I do like central and eastern Oregon a lot more than Eastern Washington though.
There's not much more to say about her. Tests from IBA found her to have XY chromosomes and disqualified her. Conservatives probably assumed she was transgender because they have heard similar stories about biological males in women's sports injuring people or setting new records. That in addition to all the other woke stuff in the Olympics (e.g. the controversial scene in the opening ceremony, vegan food provided only to the athletes, cardboard beds, and no AC allowed)
IOC and IBA have different rules for what qualifies a person to compete, and if she were a transgender she would still probably fail the IBA requirements and meet the IOC requirements.
About average.
FWIW, the state of the PV is more critical for the PNW in -QBO years. With mature +QBO/niña this winter, it’s possible the NPAC could amplify sufficiently without stratospheric help, although it never hurts.
