Interestingly, today’s high of 56 was at midnight. Lots of low clouds and drizzle around this afternoon, with an afternoon high of only 52.

Similar here with a midnight high of 55, pretty rare for April! Afternoon high was 53.  0.40" for the day with 7.11" for the month (wettest of the year so far).

It’s late April, the branches of the dogwood trees are still mostly bare, and the skunk cabbage in Stanley Park (normally a March flower) is just now entering full bloom. And now it looks as if we are about to lurch directly to summer, much like we lurched into winter last October. 27˚C (80˚F) by this Saturday? Whatever happened to the FOUR seasons?

I hate the font change, but maybe I’ll get used to it.

I think it’s a bit on the odd side. Apparently it comes from a font popular in Argentina in the 20th century for outdoor signage. Not sure how well it maps to body text usage.

Partly to mostly cloudy and 52 here after a low of 46. Should be our last cool day for the next several, although the models are definitely coming to an agreement about a pattern crash over the weekend now.

Ended up with a 56/48 day yesterday. Midnight high followed by a midnight low. Rare for late April I’d imagine.

Sure looked like that aurora was amazing, maybe this will be a good solar cycle and we won't have to wait until 2035 to hope that the next Kp=8 event happens on a clear night.

I got a clearing at 3:30 IMBY and got a few photos. I'll share once I get a chance to process them.
