Also turning into a pretty impressive day in the rainfall department. PDX up to .45” for the day with the radar looking LIT.

Over a half inch on the day here now with heavier echoes working in.

I think we might cross the 5" mark for the month soon which is really impressive. Looks like we're getting a bit shadowed at the moment but its been a nice rainy day.

Yeah that was troll post of the month material.

Its actually pretty interesting.  Sorry you find it offensive.   Not sure if its accurate.    Did the math on SEA and there has been 13.43 inches of rain from Jun-Sept over the last 3 years and the long-term normal over that period would 15.03 inches for a net 3-year departure of only -1.60 inches.    June was wetter than normal in all 3 years and September was wetter than normal in 2 of the 3 years.

Obviously the heat was a much bigger issue than precip departures.   I don't think an extra 1.60 inches of rain over those 12 months in the last 3 years would have made that much of a difference.

I found it to be.

June - September was actually a little wetter than normal in 2020 and 2021 at SEA.    And then only 3.15 inches last year in that period compared to a normal of 5.01 inches.

This is some Novemeber/December-esq storm in late April. Just raw and chilly.

It was actually warmer and sunnier on Thanksgiving than it was today!

Enjoying very much.   But on here we discuss PNW weather.    I wasn't thinking about Twisp until those pics were posted.  😁

April and may are good for storms there. And it’s almost night time. Cmon man

Is the grass green yet?   Maybe the pics just looked gray because of time of day.   But Corvallis looked bleak in the pics posted yesterday too.  And North Bend looked bleaked this evening on the Mt Si cam.    Next week will solve the problem everywhere.

My wife and kids flew out of Eugene to LAX today. Apparently EUG is an actual airport with commercial flights… Knock me over with a feather.

Guessing that means it's pretty bleak for late April.   Can't wait to see the landscape change at home next week.

It was actually almost 80 in Chicago today as well... but upper 40s this weekend.

When I went there around this time of year in 2016 it was very cold the first couple days. Probably in the 40s. We went to a Cubs game and the icy wind was knifing through Wrigley. A lot warmer at the White Sox game a few days later.

Many of the California kids here fly into EUG. It's only 40 minutes from OSU campus while PDX is 90 minutes.

Yeah I’m pretty sure SEA averages about 3” of rain in JJA.
