Nice little 54/47 day today. Probably going to be in the 70s these next few days which will also be nice. Would be nice to have more variety like this a couple days of highs in the 70s followed by some highs in the 50s and back to 70s and so on.

Looks like a nice storm is lifting up into eastern WA. Really hoping for a big thunderstorm outbreak across the western lowlands at some point this week…but over the years have just learned to never expect it and just hope for the best watching radar. It’s always so fickle and never goes according to forecast similar to lowland snow events. It either just never materializes or we get nailed.

Anthony and I are talking right now about the sudden model-wide inclusion of thunderstorms in the Seattle area later tonight. Could be some lightning around 1-4am as LI's turn negative along and immediately behind the convective debris drifting in from Oregon.

Been watching this trend all day! It has its flaws but I’ve found the UW model to be the best regarding thunderstorm potential around here and it’s showing impressive instability. Guess it’s gonna be a late night!

How's the Thursday morning thing looking? NWS mentioned that the Euro may be overdoing things but I'm hoping we see something

Models all agree on the same general timeframe of Wednesday evening into Thursday morning being the period to watch, easily the best combination of heating and moisture. Euro just looks a little later to roll in.

What I've noticed about the models is that it shows thunderstorms at a curtain time but then the thunderstorms happen later. My guess is there will be thunderstorms but we won't know when they will happen until they are right on top of us. They probably will build really fast. Meaning we won't see any echoes in one spot, then all of a sudden there is a thunderstorm the next moment. When will it happen 🤔 good question...lol. I'm thinking we will see nocturnal thunderstorms, maybe tonight but I'm thinking more between Tuesday and Thursday.

I won't have access to detailed model runs for awhile. I just started a new job last week. I was laid-off from my other job in February and had to reduce my subscriptions to save money. I may try a different website too.

Anyway, I need to get ready for bed. Hopefully we will see a thunderstorm outbreak this year 🤗⛈️

Lol. I'd never miss a chance to see lightning. I'm fully awake now and have seen a few flashes, but no bolts yet.
