Even when it's in the 80s across most of western WA... Everett can be in the 60s.  ;)

That being said... it does not look like any heat is on the horizon.     My forecast shows lots of 70s ahead.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I will say though, Georgia (really the southeast in general) can get pretty next level with the pollen.  I remember as a kid a gust of wind was blowing down the street, and it was knocking pollen out of the pines as it progressed.  Pretty soon it was a big wall of green dust.

It forms layers of green slime on the top of standing water, its impossible to keep your car clean...pretty crazy stuff.

My pond had a green layer on it last week, wish I took a picture. Reminded me of Tennessee

Even though we are basically at the same elevation... I think my area is quite a bit warmer than your area in the warm season.    Probably because your area is closer to the cold water of the Strait with nothing to block it and my area is farther from the water with lots of hills in between.

Plus you can easily get hot air from east of the mountains coming through the pass and downsloping.

Still have that ULL spinning in eastern WA... looks like thunderstorms should begin popping soon over the Cascades.

I have seen the same sorts of things happen with (Douglas) fir and hemlock pollen here. Sometimes when camping it has turned to camping with yellow dust everywhere. Thankfully tree pollen doesn’t bother me. It would suck if it did. Given how miserable grass pollen makes me, I have sympathy for those affected by tree pollen.

I had allergy testing done in Corvallis, and when they put the grass serum on its little grid square, the skin reaction was so quick and extreme, the nurse (who was a "seasoned" nurse) kinda panicked and ran into the hall screaming for help.  She was convinced I was going to have an anaphylactic reaction at any moment.  Once it was apparent I wasn't going to stop breathing on her, she settled down and said she had never seen anything like that.  They obviously had to stop the test.  She gave me a huge dose of benadryl with instructions to go straight home, take the benadryl and not drive the rest of the day.  I had a huge welt and it itched like crazy for a few days after that.

I have some mild tree allergies, but molds are my other main allergy issue, so I basically have year around allergies (YAY!)  I did 4-5 years of immuno-therapy and it definitely made a big difference.

You post endlessly about the things you like (e.g. Feb-Apr)... but get so annoyed when anyone else posts about things they like if its not about what you also like.   😀

Is North Bend on track to get to its 170 annual dry days this year?

I think the average is more like 185-190 dry days.    And definitely on track.

New ECMWF weeklies just released take us into July.   Hopefully that "poleward migration" of the jet in a couple weeks can bring us some rain.    Even I think its too dry already.

Wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being another June that's wetter than May. For SEA, happened in 2021, 2019, 2018, and 2016.

Happens about 35% of the time historically.

77 for a high at SEA.   But might get a post 5 p.m. high since it's 77 there now.

ECMWF showed 71 today... GFS showed 78.    Ironically the GEFS seems to be the best overall model at predicting temps in Seattle in the warm season.

Probably about time to get the torchy Feb/March monkey off our backs. Those months have been on a marked cooling trend since the late 2000s, and I wonder if the same factors causing the warm season to get warmer are causing those months to cool.

One would think it’s gotta happen at some point. Climo would favor a front loaded winter, some Nino springs can produce some late snow up here too.

82/48 day here. Pretty decent out with a NW breeze and down to 77 now. Also decent cumulus buildup over the Cascades which seems to come with almost every warm up so far this warm season. Definitely a departure from some recent years.
