jaster220 8344
Tomorrow will be a variation of 2 seasons colliding together as my temps start of in the 50s w rain and drop in the 20s w accumulating snows along w blowing snow as mentioned now by NOAA. Tuesday morning, I should be in the brunt of the snow. I got to thinking. IF this scenario was playing out in even 10 deg's colder atmosphere, I could've been looking at Tropical Storm conditions early morning switching over to a Bliz a few hours later. Even better ofc, would be to have normal cold temps and instead of this huge shield of rain coming from the south, I'd be looking at snow from the go, or at least a mix to snow scenario. But, It's 54F on Dec 29th so this is more like a mid-November set-up?? 2 Quote Winter 2020-21 Snow Total = 35.1" Largest Storm: 10.2" (2/15-16) Oct: 0.0 Nov: 1.5 Dec: 3.6 Jan: 10.0 Feb: 20.0 Mar: 0.0 Apr: 0.0 Annual avg for mby = 49.7" Avg for last 10 seasons = 58.4" (118% of normal) 2019-20 = 48.0" 2018-19 = 56.1" 2017-18 = 68.3" 2016-17 = 52" 2015-16 = 57.4" 2014-15 = 55.3" 2013-14 = 100.6" (coldest & snowiest in the modern record!) 2012-13 = 47.2" 2011-12 = 43.7" Legit Blizzards (high winds and dbl digit snows): Feb 2011, Dec 2009, Jan 2005, Dec 2000, Jan 1999, Mar 1998, Nov 1989, Jan 1982, Jan 1978, Jan 1977, Apr 1975, Mar 1973, Jan 1967, Feb 1965, Jan 1918

Niko 7225
Rain coming down pretty hard now. Could easily pick up an inch of water from this 2nd round. Then comes the snow and wind for late tomorrow. Crazy ride! 2 Quote Snowfall as of today: Feb, 2021: 41.2"
Mi_Matthew 233
Currently experiencing rain and 35 degrees at the cottage. Gotta be one of my favorite noises of any season, the pitter patter of rain drops on an un-insulated roof, makes 35 & rain tolerable, so relaxing. WWA just went into effect but unless dynamic cooling can win out before the heavy precip to my south moves in, I feel like this advisory is 8 or so hours premature. Fingers crossed for over-achieving! My zone forecast has little to no accums daytime and 2-3" tonight, FWIW. 06z NAM likes areas just to my west and just to my north...
westMJim 1863
Grand Rapids is now over 50” of precipitation for the year. With todays high of 50 already reached December 2019 will end up being one of the top warmest December’s at Grand Rapids. Will have to wait to see what the finial totals in rain and snow will be. At this time it is very windy here with a temperature of 39° As for the snow tonight we will have to see how that plays out.

Might look closer to average snow because of it. Won't tell the tale of how December really was.
