December 2019 Weather Discussion for the PNW

December is a few hours away!

 

November ended a little warmer than normal at my place, ending the cool stretch that was September (-2.0) and October (-3.3)!

 

Still had a nice cold blast and my most November snow in several years. 

 

High: 53.9 (+7.9)

Low: 21.0 (-4.1)

Mean: 37.5 (+2.0)

Just finished November with 6.5" snow.

Had some rain. Now 32F and cloudy. At least it’s chilly.

My hill is vehicle proof, I'm pretty sure. Two people in ram trucks couldn't make it up a couple homes from me, they slid and almost hit other vehicles.

 

At least last winter the snow was easier to drive in. Earlier I was out walking and almost slipped a couple times so it's slippery.

35 degrees this morning and spitting snow.  Light coating on the street so far.  Located just south of Bonney Lake.

Ended up with smidge over half inch of snow. That initial band never switched to rain.

As expected no snow here. Bumped up to 40 with the warm nose. Now cloudy and back down to 34. Only 0.08" of precip.

Salem ended  up with a -1.4 departure for November. EUG -1.3.

Light snow here, as expected.  They are calling for 1-2 inches, which seems about right.  Pretty small snow for us, but nice to look at.

Just did not want too much today for personal reasons and the safety of some college kids.

 

Not that what I want matters at all.

Nothing here, and not expecting any. Nearly all model runs kept the action south of me. Ignoring them in favor of the few outliers would be wishcasting.

 

Currently 36°F with a dew point of 17 at KBLI. Got down to 27 before the clouds rolled in.

I was down in the western communities of Victoria last night and saw some piles of “snow” in people’s driveways. I think it may have actually been hail from the other day.

I see some moisture coming up from Pierce county. Maybe we can get some flakes out of it.
