Breezy, hazy, feels like early spring in December. The sky is more white than blue.

Northwesterly winds you normally associate with the warm season and the Pacific High have persisted offshore well beyond their typical time frame. Did it cancel its winter vacation or something?

Models show the atmospheric river finally sagging back south to California early next week.  The Euro and GFS are both pretty bullish with precip.

I live far away, but it's nice to see the pattern changing.  It has been dreadfully boring and dry here in Iowa as well.
