Pn1ct0g3n
Septembrrr? Dawned sunny here but some low clouds have begun creeping up from the south.
Pn1ct0g3n
Sea breeze really whipping away already. Back to that icy, dry wind of a cool ocean. Dew points in the 50s again.
Thunder98
Yet another very persistence marine layer day.
Pn1ct0g3n
Right after the heatwave looks like we snapped right back to northwesterly flow, and the cold water has passed Point Conception again as of a few days ago.
Anti Marine Layer
Looks like it's going to get HOT this weekend.
Anti Marine Layer
Still looking quite troughy with a deep marine layer in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ridge behind schedule?
Thunder98
Could reach 100F on Sunday. Could it be hotter than that? The all time record high in Santa Maria was 110F on June 20th, 2008.
Pn1ct0g3n
Slightly warmer today. Heatwaves are always a tossup for the immediate coast, but we shall see. 3 years ago today we had a Special Marine Warning with possible severe tstms for the LA County coast! Thunder98
Could see a low of 70F on Monday morning!
Pn1ct0g3n
Clear again when I woke up but fog is trying to come ashore. Got to 76 around 9am, warmest day in quite some time. Probably gonna be our high if there’s fog nearby. Sea breeze is already well underway too.
Anti Marine Layer
Palm Springs weather coming our way.
Anti Marine Layer
Not brutally hot here today. Tomorrow should be different.
Pn1ct0g3n
I’ll believe it when I see it. My microclimate has a way of dodging everything interesting or unusual. Rain in the winter, too.
Anti Marine Layer
What's this? There's some mid to high clouds this morning?

Anti Marine Layer
Still bearable outside right now, but it's starting to heat up.
Pn1ct0g3n
Interesting wind direction gradient going on today. Offshore north/northeast flow going on but it hasn’t reached the coast yet. The transition is happening 5-10 miles inland.
Pn1ct0g3n
Looks like the immediate coast won’t be hitting 80 this time around. Gardena doesn’t count as immediate coast does it? 91 there, 76 here.
Pn1ct0g3n
Looks like I spoke too soon. We got there! 81 right now.
Anti Marine Layer
Dangerously hot, but mostly much cooler than what was forecast.
Anti Marine Layer
Only safe for a few minutes.
Pn1ct0g3n
114 (!!) in the Woodland Hills area right now. I think that’s their hottest day of the year so far.
Anti Marine Layer
There's actually a pretty nice breeze here right now.
Pn1ct0g3n
Gusting pretty hard here. Winds didn’t turn offshore here so we didn’t see the 90s, but we did get into the low 80s before the sea breeze really kicked in. And 90s extended to within a couple of miles of the coast. Pn1ct0g3n
Anaheim up to 107. Good grief. Meanwhile, the most exposed coastal areas like MB are back into the high 70s.
Anti Marine Layer
Not exactly a dry September-like heat as dew points are rather high.
Anti Marine Layer
110 in Foothill Ranch (part of Lake Forest a little more inland than here)
Anti Marine Layer
Temperatures are finally starting to cool off. Hopefully the heat will keep the crowds down at Irvine Spectrum this evening.
Reg
117F here in Murrieta today.

Reg
Almost 1 AM and still 84F outside here.
Pn1ct0g3n
Even MB got the offshore flow today. It’s passed 80 here and it’s only 8:25AM. Depending on when the wind turns onshore we could be in for 90+.
Pn1ct0g3n
Anybody’s guess where MB tops out at. It’s all about the wind. And it’s shifting little by little.
Pn1ct0g3n
Just turned onshore, right about when I expected it to. App says 84 (our weather station is right on the water) but the car wash thermometer near my house probably hits 90 I reckon.
Pn1ct0g3n
92 on the corner! And it’s not even noon yet!
Anti Marine Layer
Palm Springs is only 109 today right before noon. Yesterday it was 118.
Pn1ct0g3n
95F here now. My microclimate only sees heat like this a few times a decade, but that may be changing as climate change progresses.
Pn1ct0g3n
If this is accurate, today is only one degree short of the all time record high for downtown LA, set 9/27/2010!
