Anti Marine Layer
We had quite a storm a year ago today.
Reg
Forecast discussion mentions a slight chance of precipitation Friday night into Saturday. I'm not getting my hopes up, however.
Reg
All water years I've recorded (over several different locations) to now:
Anti Marine Layer
Foggy in Downtown LA as the offshore flow is too weak to push it out.
Reg
Upcoming storm at the end of this week is looking, well, weak. At least we're in for a decent temperature drop.
Anti Marine Layer
Low clouds moved in quickly this evening. There were some high clouds throughout the day as well, mostly in the morning.
Anti Marine Layer
The sun will reach more than 45 degrees above the horizon at midday tomorrow. It will be the first time since last October 22.
Reg
Getting some of that weird fog + wind again tonight.
Anti Marine Layer
Low clouds look like they should burn off pretty quickly.
Anti Marine Layer
Boring weather again with an early burnoff of the low clouds this morning.
Anti Marine Layer
Plenty of days 70 degrees or higher for Downtown LA so far this February. Definitely not a repeat of last year.
Reg
Also only a trace of rainfall in Downtown L.A. so far this month. Compare that to rain almost every day last February.
Anti Marine Layer
Should be a warm day today. If only it could be Saturday or Sunday.
Omegaraptor
Looks like central to southern CA have some precip coming up. Many NorCal stations will likely see their driest February on record. Most Bay Area stations and inland NorCal stations excluding the far northern mountains are at a goose egg for the month with zero on the way.
Reg
Precipitation totals have actually been revised upwards. Not too bad at this point.
Anti Marine Layer
Low 80s today for Fullerton and Downtown L.A. A bit warmer than expected.
Reg
Interesting how Downtown L.A. is often warmer than my location during the winter. Completely the opposite from May through October.
Anti Marine Layer
Should see a massive drop in temperatures tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how much rain we get.
Reg
It was quite warm earlier today during my walk, but since then clouds have increased and temperatures are dropping considerably.
Anti Marine Layer
Lots of clouds moving in at this time and we seem to have quickly shifted to an onshore flow.
Anti Marine Layer
Just saw a brief rainbow in the clouds, so there must be some virga or light rain.

Anti Marine Layer
Shower was brief but pretty heavy and enough to wet the ground.

Reg
Real rain just started falling here. I was watching a band of showers moving northeast over the Santa Ana Mountains towards us and here it is.
Anti Marine Layer
The ground is dry this morning. Looks like the storm might be an underperformer but it's too early to tell. A cutoff low is a weatherman's woe.
Reg
It's still sprinkling here but yet to be measurable. I've been reading about the 1/11/1949 snowstorm across Southern California. Looks like unusually deep low pressure and convection were involved. Even Mr Marine Layer would have seen snow in Orange County. Has nothing to do with the current weather, but just an interesting read. Very cold month.
