Reg
Marine layer just filled in the Temecula Valley. Rare to see dense fog forming this far inland so early in the evening.

Reg
Unrelated to the current weather, but something interesting: I dug up the minute-by-minute data from my weather station during the night of December 30th-31st, 2014 when rain transitioned to full-blown snow a low elevations here inland. The snow stopped falling sometime after 4 AM, everything after that was just snow slowly melting into the tipping bucket. My weather station at 3:42 AM on 12/31/14: Elevation was roughly 1200FT at my location

Anti Marine Layer
Some nutcase was zooming by, well worthy of a speeding ticket this evening with a car that made noises like firecrackers.

Anti Marine Layer
Wind has died down here for now, but it made a big mess during the day. The more northerly winds favor our location.
Reg
Winds are calm here now, but we got hit much harder than usual with this kind of wind as well. I thought the winds were supposed to strengthen tonight.

Dan the Weatherman
We had a great stretch of storms from late November until just after Christmas here in Socal, and the pattern abruptly shifted into a drier pattern since then. It is really starting to get boring now at what should be the wettest time of year for this area.
Anti Marine Layer
Still relatively cool today with more high clouds than expected and most areas in the low to mid 70s.

Reg
Wind is keeping temperatures much warmer here this evening. Only 71F at 6:30 PM compared to 59F at the same time yesterday. I wonder why we had wind Wednesday and today, but none yesterday.
Anti Marine Layer
Marine layer should deepen rapidly on Sunday, but may not have much time to become solid before the inversion is wiped out. So it should be unlike last Sunday.
Reg
Temps did end up cooling down here, although it took a while. Still very warm in Simi Valley and higher elevations, winds still blowing there.

Anti Marine Layer
Cold offshore flow tomorrow. Annoying, but better than damp and overcast with 0.01" of non-beneficial rain.
