Portland area is tracking pretty close to those ones, honestly. No sub-40 days at PDX yet and no lows below 26 there either. A few brief sightings of snow though, which is a slight improvement, but otherwise no dynamic weather after October.

2014-15 as bad as it was did at least manage a couple of fleeting modified regional airmasses and a significant windstorm here.

Tomorrow would be the best bet at a sub-40 high for a while, and they get a lot tougher to do in February. Going to be really tough to stay below 40 tomorrow though. At least SLE had one yesterday. They and Eugene also had at least 1-2 back at the end of November.

Nice to see Burns down in SE Oregon sitting at -4 on the hour.

We had one on Nov 30 and that’s it. Would be the fewest since 33-34...that fallspring was very sad indeed.

Salem has fallen as low as 29 this evening, but is back up to 34. I think temps in the WV have already bottomed out.

I'm surprised it's warmer over there than here given we're further west but I guess we get more direct outflow. Still 24F here and dumping.

The flakes are way smaller than I’m used to from previous events. I think the ratios are much closer to 1:20 than 1:10

Very impressive. Interesting to see 2005 in there.

In the end, this event played out somewhat similar to “round one” of that ordeal. Much better large scale pattern but ultimately too much energy dumping to our northwest which shut off the pipeline.

My preferences can beat up your preferences’ dad.

Temp has been fluctuating between 29-30F for hours now. The cold air with this whole thing has been pathetic except for far north regions and of course snow was nonexistent down here and weak for a lot of the WA low lands too. Pretty disappointed in what this thing delivered given the potential.

I expect I will start as either rain or rain-snow mix tomorrow but this is a situation where areas just west of me do much better. Places like Banks, Manning and Buxton have the coast range to protect from the south winds for quite a while. You usually see a very sharp gradient in the snow in these setups. Last winter we had a time where cold air was in place but the next round of precip was approaching along with a sound wind. I had a dusting before switching to rain but a few miles west in Banks and beyond, there were 3-6 wet inches of snow and the warming southerlies were kept at bay for much longer.

Must be 8-10” there. I hate missing out on something so close by but I know 90% of the time the roles are reversed for Victoria snow fans.

Certainly doesn't happen often, although this seems to be lifting north a bit now so you'll probably get hit soon. Seems like about 9~10" depth over the pavement, probably deeper in the grass on the north side of the house. Most ground features are starting to disappear.

It’s dumping here now. Close to 3” in a little over an hour.

Whelp, this snow event was tons of fun. A little disappointing for what was advertised, but I'm glad we have such a great community here to get through this together. Some of us scored big, most not so much (me).

Anyways, see you guys next winter! Hopefully I am in a much better place in life by then.

Thanks for keeping me updated on the latest weather!
