I heard one other time that summers can be humid out there. Is this true?

Mark Nelsen says it looks like we will end up with the #2 warmest January on record at PDX edging out 2018. 1953 should remain top dog. 

 

Locally I have seen warmer January weather. 2020 will probably still end warmer than average obviously.

FWIW, 18z 12km NAM shows a little snow around Western WA through 10PM Sunday.

 

Trend north by 5 miles! My old place gets hit but it’s only 280ft so I have my doubts there.

ICON has jumped aboard the snow train. Has accumulating snow Tuesday morning down on the valley floor. EPS now shows a 67% chance of accumulating snow here in the next 16 days!!

Icon has an inch, EPS ranges from 0” to 5” with a mean of 0.7”. 33/50 members show accumulating snow. I’ll post some charts/maps later.

18z has arctic air knocking on our door by Valentine's Day.

We might get to 60F on Saturday at 6200' in the Sierra Nevada. I have only had 3 snow storms this winter and I played Disc golf after work yesterday because we have 0 snow cover on the ground. This winter is on par with 2017-2018 for hot trash!

What are your rain totals for the month so far?  I'm at 11.27" and climbing rapidly.  I'm thinking 13" is quite possible by midnight Saturday.  That will be the most rain in January here since 1992 when I began keeping records.
