How was it up there this weekend? Usually one of the busier weekends of the year.

Fantastic only saw about 40 sleds on Sat put on 90miles...Boulder, Star Lake, Mani area. Sunday-Boulder up to Gile on 13...first tracks, then up to Lake Superior and Banged the Grade Back to Mani and then back to Boulder, 200mi day. Sleds on the Grade, but otherwise maybe a group or 2 every hour. It was fantastic!

Dang, I need better friends, lol. I just snowmobiled around the lake. Looks like it was awesome, I haven't been up north in so long.

Edit: Now 2-4” with localized 6” in the advisory area. Winter storm warning for 7-10” southwest of the metro near Mankato. Crazy stuff.

My buddy just told me it snowed 2” in 2 hours. I saw a video of him driving through his neighborhood and the snow banks are so high! The snow depth looks great up there.

Yep, totally I believe the 2” in 2 hours. It’s absolutely rippin out there. I’m about to step outside myself as the heaviest part of the band moves overhead.

I believe MSP was officially at 9” snow depth as of this morning.

Snow started here. Hopefully it will stay snow as the radar returns on the west side of MI push through, they look like they mean business. Jaster, snow over there?

Just coming on to post that here we have some of the best conditions of the season. 30F with nice flake size and stacking efficiently. Roads even got covered quickly in town.

Reports of 8” in Nicollet County, in the warning area. We’re at just over 2” here and still snowing. This after the snow chances were dropped to 40% just before the precip started. Whoops.

You can say that again! GRR caught with pants around ankles on this one. Here's map from 6 this evening with 1-2" before switch to RN:

Just eye-balled 3" on my deck, and that's since it began about 7:30 so a couple hours ago only! Pure rippage out there attm. Their evening update said that they were concerned about dry air eating into totals, lol. I'm more concerned about a legit snow day for kiddies tomorrow!

GRR was not alone, DTX also upping accumulations but I still think the forecast is too low (up to 1" for MBY). Score one for the GGEM/RGEM!

:)  Measured 3.5" when it was just about ending here last night. Can't believe I beat SPS

Top 1.5" was total cotton balls. Stuff was pretty fluffy despite temps just below freezing. By the time I stepped out for work, temp had risen to 36F and the snow was a very slushy 1.5"

Ofc, it had rained a bit too but that's some serious compaction!
