One of the programs I'm looking at deals with arctic amplification/changes in the polar vortex and the downstream affects on the PNW, in terms of extreme events (heat/drought/heavy rainfall). If someone is asymptomatic or displaying mild symptoms they are probably not going to seek treatment or get tested. I am equally afraid of potential panic. Unfortunately trying to get people to take this threat seriously is equally challenging. If you’re sick with a fever, stay home. Isolate yourself if you can. We have sick “protocols” at our residence to try to keep it from running through the household. Wash your hands, clean up after yourself and be mindful of those around you who may not practice the same. My wife’s grandma is 90 and lives in an assisted living facility in Vancouver. If any of us have any kind of viral symptoms, we steer clear of visits just for the fact that any virus runs the risk of quickly spiraling out of control. If I needed to I washed my hands first and did not talk or cough to keep those little droplets in me and not on anyone else. So far I am the only one that caught the A! Funny thing is I am the biggest germaphobe of the family...And I’m the one that got sick. Pretty sure it was the Chatty Cathy that I had to sit next to on the plane.
