Only managed 0.11” this morning was hoping for atleast double that…but some rain is developing to the east so hopefully that helps up the total.

Big trough over the middle of the country by Thursday on the 12Z ECMWF and yet they still have highs around 90 in places like Iowa and Missouri and Kansas.   And look at Texas with temps way into the triple digits without a ridge overhead.    😀

I think your temps are much more dependent on 500mb heights than ours.

Took until noon for the rain to begin, but it's been raining since then. Was expecting only a few sprinkles so it has already overperformed expectations.

Only 0.02" so far. Hoping for more.

Yeah I was already up over .20” when I was at home for lunch a few hours ago, a refreshing surprise!

Check out the radar loop around Olympia... legitimately have cells moving in the completely opposite direction.   One layer moving to the SE and one layer moving to the NW.    Very strange and interesting.

Think I’ve seen something similar to this before and always just assumed it was mid-high level moisture or clouds.

I am sure its at different levels.    I have seen it in the winter when the moisture shield from an incoming system overrides a c-zone from a departing system.    But usually the higher level moisture is just virga.  I think the activity around Olympia is actually producing rain at both levels today.

Stuck in the snow hole again. Looks like it may be flurrying now though. It'll be dark soon and then i can stare at the streetlight.

Looks like it's over here. I had .27 today. So not bad to get over a quarter inch this afternoon. Still about 68F.

Splat test was negative on this side of town but precip is picking up! Thought we might be done with the rain after this morning.

Only reached 57 here, really enjoying the brief sweater weather before the warmup. Pretending that it's fall with a cup of joe under gloomy skies ☕

What a nice day. Big time overachiever both for precip and cool temps.

60/54 spread here with .18” precip so far. Light rain at times much of the morning and afternoon.

What’s nice is that this event was barely even on the radar a few days ago. Hopefully we can get a couple more setups like this in the next few weeks.

Looks like we ended up with about 0.00” which was perfect for the baseball team that somehow overcame an 8-0 deficit and won 9-8.

I'm impressed, .53" yesterday, with most of it coming the last few hours of the day, then we have gotten .2" today.  Still drizzling now, kinda ruins my planned yard projects for the day, but I am not going to complain!!!

Love it how everyone’s just as excited for this summer rain than some snow events we’ve had in the winter lol.
