Local Sheriff tweeted that roads are becoming treacherous. With the sun setting it will only get worse. Visibility has been as low as an 1/8th of a mile at times.
gabel23
Flurries are starting to sneak in… It’s crazy I can totally see the snow above us in the sky but it’s not saturated enough to get to the ground. Should be just a matter of time before we start to see some action.
CentralNebWeather
Snow let up for a bit now increasing again. Streets are ice and slush covered. Would think the highways aren’t great with temp around 30.
gabel23
Hastings upped my totals which is kind of a surprise. Radar doesn't look that impressive and snow rates are the same. With that being said ground is covered in snow so we shall see.
snowstorm83
Steady light snow for the past several hours but unfortunately it’s above freezing. There’s been an outrageous amount of precipitation this winter at 33-35 degrees. 1 Quote Snowfall in Lincoln, NE: 2017-18: 21.4" 2018-19: 55.5" 2019-20: 17.6" 2020-21: 49.4" 2021-22: 5.1" Average: 26"

Hawkeye
I'm receiving the heaviest snow so far. It is very pretty. Unfortunately, the back edge is quickly approaching. There may be a bit more snow later, but the snow on the ground will likely begin to melt as soon as this batch ends. Later, the strong sun will slow any accumulation. Models did very well with this storm and amounts verified from days before it occurred. Largest storm here since the Pre Thanksgiving blizzard. Stormy
1.4" here from the first round. I'm not sure how well the next batch will accumulate as we warm up and the sun gets stronger. Here it didn't start snowing till 9:45am or a bit before which is around 1.5 hours later than start time at your place according to the time of your other post. Radar did show a dry hole over me. Anyway, there's only up to 1/2" at most on the grass and now it's beginning to melt during the lull. It's looking very wet yet by late next Thursday. Hopefully we can get some thundershowers here with that system.
Bryan1117
Picked up around 3” of snow in my backyard. One of the biggest snows of the season so pretty pumped about that. Hawkeye
I'm finally getting another moderate burst of snow, but it will not last long. The first batch this morning was a solid shield, but the afternoon snow is more streaky and scattered. Even northeast Iowa is getting into some good snow. Models really under-forecasted the northward push. 2 Quote season snowfall: 34.8" '22-23: 30.2" '21-22: 27.1" '20-21: 52.5" '19-20: 36.2" '18-19: 50.2" '17-18: 39.5" Average snowfall: ~30"
OmahaSnowFan
I’m guessing 3” here as well. Was still up at 4am when it was coming down the hardest. Easily the best snowfall rates of the season and the most snowfall of the year. The best part is I didn’t have to shovel a scoop and my driveway, sidewalk, and the roads are dry already!

westMJim
It is just cloudy here now with a temperature of 41 and while not weather related I will toss this up anyway as it received my attention. On a note on the coronavirus testing Here is something to toss around in your head. This is from the WOOD TV8 web site.“The Greenville Daily News reports the Montcalm County patient, a woman in her 60s, had traveled to southern Italy with her husband and believes she was exposed on her flight. Both she and her husband were tested at a local hospital and while she tested positive for coronavirus, her husband, although he had symptoms, did not. She is under quarantine for two weeks.”Ok why did the woman test positive and the man did not??? I would think I would do a retest just to be sure. One has to wonder how may false positive and false negative test are taking place???
