It's been a fabulous spring so far here in Michigan.  Up and down, but many good days and March was well AN.   Does look cold for mid-April, but stormy so probably more ups and downs instead of mostly sustained cold.

Spring weather to me by April standards should be in the 60’s with days in th 70’s. 40’s/50’s don’t really get me excited so AN in March really isn’t anything to get enthusiastic about.

Still showing a decent storm but way north of 12z yesterday. NW IA through the Twin Cities to N WI get hit. It’ll change again 8 times, or disappear soon.

So true! Ha. We finally start to have blocking and a neutral AO. Only took 4 months to get to this point; if anything hopefully we can at least have one more big dog and an active severe weather season.

Even though it's still far out it's definitely something to keep an eye on since it's Easter weekend. I'm supposed to be going to Grand Island and I wouldn't be surprised if Central Nebraska is blasted in this type of spring set up.

The near record +AO winter we have endured certainly has made its mark in the Arctic regions this cold season.  This has to be some of the thickest ice in some decades for parts of the coastal regions of the Archipelago and Greenland.  This map is showing pockets of 12-15 meters thick ice!  While the overall ice volume is low (due to warmer PAC/ATL oceans), I'm glad to see the ice has not disappeared  B)

At this time it is cloudy and 61 here. There are reports of some sun just south of here. After tomorrow it looks to be on the cold side for the rest of this April. Not the way I like it I hope it is not too cold as I would like to get out and do my walk every day.

Today is the first time I've sweated outside.  We are into the low 70s with fairly humid air and sun.

Unfortunately, the winter coat and stocking cap will have to come out again.

I hear ya, but after the last 6 years, it sure felt better.  However we have had several 60's so far here.

Up to 85 already somehow with a forecast of 80, several more hours of heating to go. Might as well shoot for the first 90 degree day of the year. Would normally complain but I’ll take since it’s about to get nasty.

Lincoln is 87º now, but the dewpoint is only 30º.  Over here we are in the mid 70s with a dew in the low 60s.

Yes, has that desert feel. Lots of people out and about, safely, soaking in the rays. Hard to believe snow and arctic temps for April are not to far in the future.

Pretty toasty but doesn't feel as bad as I thought it would with 13% humidity. We cranked on the AC for the first time this year.

I just got some hail, too.  Most of it was pea size, but some was up to 5/8".  It did not last long.  Not much rain fell.
