Some rainfall predictions for the next 7-10 days.   Most lowlands locations 1-2 inches Mossman’s house 6-8” Tim’s house. 30-40”. Tim will report he can hear the rain pounding on his roof at least on

Looks like OLM achieved a new late season record low this morning with a low of 23.   Low of 31 here, but no frost since the air is so dry. One of my later freezes in memory.

Pretty interesting.

Been pleasantly chilly of late.  :)   Going to ring in the new month with temps in the mid-30s.  Nice night.

SEA ended up at 3.17 inches for March... which is 0.55 below normal.    Nice catch up at the end though.

SEA is also at +1.60 for the rainy season... and currently +3.66 for the year.

Nice sunrise in progress... this current pattern is not very wet here.   Focus is mainly in Oregon and along the coast.

Hoping for an active April ahead with showers, thunderstorms, some warm days, and mountain snow.

Would be nice to at very least reach average precip, too. We have only done that in one of the last six months (January).

You got me beat! So far, just wet flurries here. Temps are in the upper 30’s but dew points are in the mid-20’s.

It’s a rare April Fraser outflow event for us.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Talk about a little April fools joke from Mother Nature Andrew since it’s supposed to be spring but it’s snowing which is a type of weather you would more expect in the winter rather than the spring. ;’) Do you get it?

Cold in the BC interior. There should be some records in the Cariboo this morning. Clinton is 10F with a windchill of -9F.

When was the last winter season before with both atypically early and atypically late arctic outflow events, particularly ones as early and late as we’ve seen this season?

It's called clown range for a reason.

Pretty healthy batch of showers rotating in this morning, with a fairly cold airmass overhead (thicknesses in the low to mid 520s). Maybe we can finally score a reasonably chilly day down this way.

For a few of you.    Most people don't think a few sunny, dry days right now would be tragic.

Looks like the Euro is going down the toilet too. Good thing. Really hope our four days of cold troughing weren’t too much for anyone.

It has rained in most places for the last 10 or 11 days straight... makes sense that there would be some dry weather for a few days.   Hope you can handle it.   We normally have dry days in April so you are rooting against climo.

A light shower sweeps across Deer mountain while last evenings hail bids a farewell as it huddles in the shadows of the trees.

That western hemlock on the far right does not look healthy.

0.30" so far for the 1st. Hopefully this trough hasn't really fallen off, we need a wet April to make up for a very dry past two months.

Currently running a 10.11" rainfall deficit since February 1st.

Hopefully the models are having problems handling cutoff lows again, and some of the output we are currently seeing beyond day 5 ends up being trash. There were points when this week looked warm and sunny on many runs due to similar issues, even well into the mid-range.

Bet you can't guess where nature decided to focus the wetter than normal weather over the last 2 months.    ;)

Hopefully, because we just had the two driest years ever back to back, 2018 and 2019. Feels like we haven't had a super soaker pattern since two April's ago.

I thought my apple trees were slow to bud this year from all the frosts but now with the rains they're having no problem at all. It's as if the ground was too dry.
