Omegaraptor
Fort Lauderdale and Miami average about 62 inches of rain a year so good to see some areas get that much and even more. Strong rain shadow for Hillsboro, not as extreme as the Olympic rain shadow but it’s evident. Omega why don’t you move already? Move to Washougal and you get 2 feet of more rain a year hehhehI’m 16 turning 17 in August. At the moment, moving is not an option.

TacomaWaWx
God I hope so. Last winter was nothing but a bunch of blue balls from all the "so close yet so far" events we had in the south/central sound. Yeah I still am recovering from the great model collapse of January 2020. We still got a little snow so it wasn’t the worst year ever...but it was weird going from such a cold snowy Winter the previous year to a rather lame one. 1 Quote Tacoma WA elevation 300’ Monthly rainfall-3.56” Warm season rainfall-11.14” Max temp-88 +80 highs-2 +85 highs-2 +90 highs-

GeorgeWx
It’d be nice to get a few summers closer to climo like last summer was. Maybe last summer and this summer are the beginning of a change to more normal summers after the 2013-2018 period of hot ones.If you believe in global warming then the answer is no and our summers will get hotter. Phil
Without thunderstorms no real exiting weather happens in Clorida except for the occasional hurricane or tropical storm. I still remember Hurricane Andrew. I thought I wasn’t going to make it.Can’t imagine what it must’ve been like to experience a Category 5 hurricane. Worse than the most extreme derechos and it lasts for hours. My scariest weather experiences are all derechos and downbursts. If those give me adrenaline rushes, a Category 5 would probably flat-line me. 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=

We loved far enough north to escape the category 5 winds but I remember the gust were extreme and would come out of no where. It just ripped like you wouldn’t imagine. It gave everyone screams in the house and I remember my neighbors screaming. The first few hours were intense and we all prayed it would end soon.

TigerWoodsLibido
How much snow did you get during December 2008? I lived in SW Yamhill County at the time and had a foot of snow, an inch of ice, and another foot of snow. EUG had a bit of snow going into the initial Arctic airmass and then a couple of sub-freezing highs but then moderated as the low came in just a bit too far to the north so as to bring them marine surface winds. EUG also hasn't had a White Christmas since 1990. Their longest streak on record without one. 1 Quote Springfield, Oregon regular season 2023-24 Stats: Coldest high: 25F (Jan 14, 2024) Coldest low: 20F (Jan 14, 2024) Days with below freezing temps: 24 (Most recent: Mar 8, 2024) Days with sub-40F highs: 4 (Most recent: Jan 16, 2024) Total snowfall: 0.0" Total ice: 2.25” Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 (1.9") Last sub-freezing high: Jan 15, 2024 (27F) Last White Christmas: 1990 Significant wind events (gusts 45+): 0 Personal Stats: Last accumulating snowfall on roads: Dec 27, 2021 Last sub-freezing high: Jan 16, 2024 (32F) Last White Christmas: 2008 Total snowfall since joining TheWeatherForums: 42.0" Sub-freezing highs since joining TheWeatherForums: 4 Venmo GoFundMe "College Basketball vs Epilepsy": gf.me/u/zk3pj2 My Twitter @CBBjerseys4hope
