Jesse
I think this area is sitting close to average for the month (areas that got lucky with convective showers might be in better shape). Being right at average when you're about to enter a dry phase isn't a good sign for summer drought.Yeah not looking good at all up there. Jesse
The EPS is still very much on board with troughing developing in the 6-10 day range. It has certainly backed off from the quicker onset as early as this Thursday/Friday though, like the operational runs. Those days are looking fairly warm to hot now. The past 3 winters have been relatively dull, and we are coming off an all-time dud in W. Oregon. Yeah the south valley paid bigly for 2-25-19 last "winter" oof. Not a single day with a high temp below 40F in the meteorological winter. One of only 2 times it has happened, the other instance being the brutally boring 1933-34 disaster. 2019 did have one high below 40F on Nov 30, and that was the only one. 1933 had 2 sub-40 highs in late November, beating out 19-20. All-time dud indeed, for this part of the PNW. We are way over doo for some Dec-Jan action. Timmy Supercell
2 years ago this evening was probably one of the top 5 sunsets I've seen in Klamath Falls.
