Nature just does what it does and we observe it and plan around it.Clouds and intermittent drizzle don’t have to be “planned around”, though. They don’t prevent you from doing any activities. Extreme heat and/or high doses of UV can easily send you to the hospital, though. Here we go again! There were numerous weekends here that were chilly and damp and we did have to plan around. That's life... we have other options. But it seemed like every weekend was the same so it was getting old. Lots of bad luck on timing. Nobody here wants to do water activities when its 62 degrees and windy with drizzle. But this will now be 3 out of 4 weekends in July that have been just about perfect. I don’t know if growing up on the water and my parents and grandparents teaching me about how to be responsible on the water...And witnessing first hand jetski and boating accidents right out in front of our place has made me a very cautious boater/jetskier. I have also taken boating safety classes and of course have my boaters license, but some people just get on these very powerful machines and just go crazy. Makes the rest of us responsible people look bad as well unfortunately. I will never forget when a 14 or so year old girl lost an entire arm from a jetski accident right out from our dock in the cove, that was about 20yrs or so ago but I still remember the screaming to this day...God awful. 2 Quote Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. Dave
I've ridden a jet ski a few times. The amount of power they have and how sharp they can turn is astonishing to a novice. Very easy to lose control. It doesn't help that many riders are very inexperienced.
