I didn’t expect PDX to hit 100°F. Must’ve been some serious compressional heating with the RH at 11-13% for awhile there.

97 with east winds at PDX. Goes to Jesse's point of this being a bit of a late summer/early fall type of heat setup, usually the downslope winds at this time of year don't quite reach the surface at the airport.

That was just moping. :(

Fantastic day on the water...However...People quit dumping your trash in the water and being careless with your ropes. Spent 40min taking apart my intake and getting a 20ft rope that got sucked into my jet and wrapped so tight around the driveshaft that it almost ruined my day. Also picked up about 5 beer cans and a kitchen sponge.

Good news is everyone was doing a good job of social distancing at the park when I rode by. Each family had a pop up tent and had plenty of space between each other.

Tigard Oregon cookie experiment in progress

1 set in the car

2 set on back patio

Federal Way currently a toasty 77*

Tigard Or. 96-99 local weather stations

Cookie experiment was successful.

The car got up to a max temp. 150*  and that made for a crunchy outside gooey inside cookie!

The box lined with aluminum foil on the patio got up to 175* !  Didn’t get a chance to sample that batch but daughter said they were crunchy outside gooey inside as well,  great way to play in the Hot weather down here :)

Federal Way 85/52 currently 73*

Pretty good social distancing on the sand bar at Lake Sammamish too...

I could rant for hrs but I just can't grasp what goes through people's head when the litter leaves there hand? I about ran someone off the road the other day after they had thrown a mcdonald's bag out the window. Stupid idiot's.

It’s a giant pet peeve of mine too. I have taken to carrying a box of garbage bags in my car and one of those grabbers. I’ve already hauled out several bags of trash this year just from campgrounds and roadside viewpoints, etc.

Had a beautiful hike and swim (in that order) at Council Lake west of Mount Adams today. It was in the low 80s up there. A lot cooler than the lowlands but still pretty warm for the 4,500-5,000 ft level.

Mt. Adams and Council Lake from Council Bluff.

You can make out the close to first quarter moon directly above Adams too.

Great shot with no clear cuts.

If it's 100, then it tied the previous record from 1939.

Kinda weak sauce records from 7/24-7/26. Not one over 100, and this is the hottest time of year.

Yeah, looks like PDX topped out at 100. Salem made a late push though after 5pm and got to 100 as well. First triple digits at PDX since 7/15/18.

Great shot with no clear cuts.

Yeah, sort of a rarity at least in the Gifford Pinchot. That is all Mt. Adams Wilderness or surrounding roadless areas in the picture.

There were old clear cuts visible mainly to the south in the upper Lewis River valley, but they are slowly greening up now. Probably at least 30 years old.

Also visible in the picture is Mt. Hood on the left, and Lemei Rock (highest peak on the distant ridge) to the right. That’s in the Indian Heaven Wilderness. On the far right is Steamboat Mountain.

Wasn't Monday supposed to be the peak of the stretch? Unless I missed something that was changed last minute on forecasts.

Both PDX and MMV hit 100 today.

Toastier in Medford (105) and Redding (106). I had a chilly high of 94. lol

A nearby thunderstorm blew some dust over here and man the evening actually felt nice in Klamath Falls.

Felt like low 80's at 7pm with 30-35mph gusts.

I did observe a couple lightning flashes but I am afraid to call today an actual thunder occurrence.

Meh, tomorrow I'll probably get one.
