Clouds are breaking up! Love it when the sun pops out and warms you up then as I start to get too hot laying in the sun, a cloud passes the sun and cools things off then the sun pops back out and warms things up. There is a nice cool breeze right now too.

63F here!  Already the warmest day this July here.  Love that sun.

Euro really wants to keep troughiness over the NW part of the lower 48, and the 4CH displaced/suppressed to the south and east through day 10. Cooler than average pattern will likely continue if this verifies, although there will likely also be some brighter and sunnier days mixed in at times too.

I honestly think my ever-optimistic elderly parents are slipping into depression now between the pandemic and the terrible weather.

 

I'll say for me this has really been a bummer year.  My inability to get into a normal groove has been depressing.  All of the rioting and everything just made it worse.  That was probably one of the scariest things I've seen in my life.  It was like nobody in a position of power would even acknowledge that burning down buildings and beating people nearly to death was wrong.

This is certainly more of a cool NW flow pattern which is usually pretty dry in the summer.  Year like 1983 and 1993 probably had the trough a bit further west.

Just talked to them. They are at home of course... but able to sit outside in the sun now which really boosts their spirits. They seemed happier today. They are probably drinking some wine too.

Moved our Couer D'Alene trip to Thursday-Saturday. Could not miss the first weekend without rain here since Mother's Day. Should be nicer over there later in the week. We love that area.
