weatherfan2012
Makes sense, unfortunately (for me).I’m gonna be stuck under default ridging for at least another year, I think. Maybe longer. one thing for sure it can't get any worse then last winter where we did not even get an inch of snow so while this winter could still suck for us It would be surpising to see us get totterly shut out two years in a roll unless we are in some historical low cycle. Frontal Snowsquall
HIO reached 90. Wonder where Snowsquall is?I've been busy doing lots of outdoor activities. The reason I love this time of year is you don't have to worry about it raining. I haven't really paid attention to the temperatures but it's always nice to get to 90+, kind of a novelty to reach those temperatures. TT-SEA
I have been watching the clearing line move up from the southwest for about 6 hours now. Finally at 4:30 it has reached my area. To the right is what we have had all day... and to the left is the clearing arriving. Better late than never. Side note... the road side grass is still very green. That is unusual for late July even here. I still have not had to water at all and today's drizzle delayed it even more. TT-SEA
You literally made this exact same post last year. Right around this date, too. Yep... never watered at all last summer. That was the first time in 15 years. We had 25 days with measureable rain in July and August last year... very unusual. That was way more days with rain in that period than even years like 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012. That is also why I gave you lots of credit for your summer forecast last year with the "more moisture transport" call. There were frequent systems with no long break in between as we usually have in July and August.
