Had a warm time camping, but thanks to the elevation it was a lot more pleasant than what the lowlands experienced. I will say, Cascade River and Cascade Pass area of the North Cascades National Park

Same with Victoria, I've seen some flashes and heard distant thunder but nothing has come close yet. Different story further north on the island, my brother captured these from Nanoose looking SE over

Fall begins in 46 days. We're only 3 months away from where we start foaming at the mouth at models looking up north for arctic air surging down into Alaska, Yukon, British Columbia, and Alberta! I ho

Coolest August in the post-1998 era coming up. Maybe.

Doubt it’ll match 1995, but +EPO/+NPO/zonal flow indications are present until the final 10 days of the month, at earliest.

Probably too warm initially?

The EPS had been overdoing long range warmth over the intermountain west/PNW all summer.

July was warmer than normal so August probly will be too...like most of the last decade.

what the hell is wrong with people who don't want warm summer weather in SUMMER? :)

it freaking rains for 9 months out of the d**n year

Everyone here likes warm summer days...there’s also nothing wrong with liking a couple rainy days in the summer. Definitely doesn’t rain 9 months out of the year either. We definitely do get 1-2 week dry stretches outside of the summer often like we did this April or last November.

Jesse will be right with you once he has found Brennan’s north Cascades cabin in the woods and hooks up to the cabin’s WiFi.

I hear J is about to ban flights into the state.

I have an uncle who works at Nintendo and knows Jay and he said that Mario was delayed AND Jay will be testing extreme community lockdown measures in North Bend.

Yeah last rainy season in particular was so long. We got about as much rain here from Feb-May as the average Feb-May precipitation in notoriously soggy Salt Lake City. Better enjoy the only 8 weeks of nice weather we get per year!

Looks like most of western WA ended up right around normal for July.

And most of western WA is running very close to normal for the summer as well.

Defined as a "horrible summer" by Andrew.

Who’s starting the preference war now?

First normal summer in 8 years?

Not a war... he said it was another horrible summer.

This summer has been significantly better than last summer in my area... regardless of temperatures.    It rained way more frequently than normal in July and August of last year.

Late week trough looking more robust on the 12Z ECMWF than on previous runs or per the GFS.   Everyone could see some rain if this run verifies.

64 and cloudy as we get close to 1pm. Feels refreshing. Glad to see the weather swinging more towards cooler and wet conditions possibly one or two days soon.

72 and partly sunny here... back edge of the high cloud deck is about to come through so it will probably push 80 here later this afternoon.
