Yeah, all the fir cones and debris hitting the roof sounds like baseball-sized hail.

Never mind the fire danger next week - I'm concerned about it right now, at least until it rains (if it rains). We didn't really get very much last week.

My wife texted me earlier having a panic attack about the wind and worried about the fires. We are going to carry the trauma of this for a while. Our neighbor didn’t come back until Sunday.

Hillsboro is still at a trace of rain for the day but had a 17G25 at 2PM.

We did get some rain in my location earlier as well.

Wild. Already up to 0.55" here on the day in the NW metro area. HIO is dry.

I’ve noticed that you guys have been getting way more rain today looking at the radar. I’ve been so close, but mostly dry so far.

Although it appears HIO just isn't measuring rainfall properly at the moment. They reported moderate rain with fairly low visibilities earlier. And personal stations near there show about 0.20".

It's been warm out and bone dry. Much windier than expected. EUG gusting up to 37mph. The pine needles, cones, and leaves are flying around all over the place. Glad I didn't clean my gutters yet because I would have had to do it a second time.

As big as this AR has been...it’s still not as big as the one in December 2019! 4” of rain in less than 24 hours with that one. 0.90” so far at home.

This is really only noteworthy because it’s still September.  Would be a pretty typical November - January storm.

The wind knocked out the power briefly but it’s back on for now. What an event! Still windy AF. Treetops swaying like mad and I can see the frontal boundary approaching with sprinkles starting up. Beautiful.

Definitely pretty significant for early fall. Up to 1.05”...I’ll have to check my records but definitely is one of the wettest days I’ve had in the month of September.

EUG gusting to 41 now. Anyone know what the criteria is for a wind advisory? Seems like we're there now.

Excess of 45mph for several consecutive hours, iirc.

There is absolutely no way the HIO sensor is correct at this point. Still recording traces even with green and yellow passing over on the radar.

Radar estimates are higher.

Looks like perfect weather at your location currently!

Most spectacular, enjoyable September in memory so far. Would be awesome to avoid torching through the autumn for the first time since 2014.
