It always amazes me how much wind you get for an inland area. There's barely even a breeze here now.

He lives 1 mile east of I-5 which is really close to the Sound there.

That's the same amount as we have here, so much for the dry south.

1.93” here on the Davis gauge.  Looks like it’s over reporting a bit. The manual gauge looks like a bit less from a distant glance.

Yes indeed it seems a bit odd but all it takes is one individual with three separate accounts to do it.  An awful lot of effort for such a trivial matter. I suspect Fred will soon modify or get rid of this ridiculous voting system.

I think Eugenenites were more rightfully concerned with the prospect of relative dryness for this period.

I think you've complained about it more than anyone for it being so "trivial".

I have probably gotten dozens of downvotes for completely innocuous posts since this started. I don't really read too much into it.

If the button is there people will push it for sh*ts and giggles sometimes. You yourself admitted to downvoting a post I made about a model run for no good reason the other day.

How much rain did Eugene get with the thunderstorms the other day?

The official station picked up over two inches with the t-storms on the 17th/18th. But it seems like a couple nearby posters were reporting lighter amounts.

1.72 inches in North Bend today... back edge moving through.    Probably another inch tomorrow in numerous post-frontal showers and squalls.

Noticed that ditches down in the valley are full when coming home from Safeway.    Landscape is replenished again... looking forward to a sunny stretch after so much rain.

I may or may not follow through with my earlier threat to downvote all posts that talk about downvoting.

Does that mean I can downvote this one for you?

I've only mentioned it twice before today.  One time in particular I had 45 downvotes within an hour.  How is that possible?  I just mentioned it since it seemed peculiar.  Today Hawkstwelve mentioned it so I answered.  The preponderance of negative votes has been a topic for several other posters within the past two weeks.  By the way, there is always a good reason when I downvote a post.

Was really happy to see that front finally move over the burn areas today. I think the ground is officially wet for the rest of the year.

I have to screenshot my photos otherwise they post sideways

There were definitely some heavy showers around town. I know because I got drenched by a couple. There was even enough for some very minor flooding/ponding around the downtown area. I even had to turn my windshield wipers to high. I do think that casualties were kept to a minimum thankfully.

I doubt we will be able to say the same. I think we will be dealing with more fire weather as we get into October.
