Lived there for 2 years. It is incredibly underrated. The entire northwest corner of the state is amazing. Little Red River, Pinnacle Mountain, Petit Jean State Park, Mt Nebo, Mt Magazine... a lot to offer and very few residents.

Low for today was 62F and honestly it felt like an early Fall morning. Even with the smoke it was "coldish" which was weird.

Gosh that's horrible. I'm sorry to hear that. That's seriously the worst!

As for my location. We had a few more showers after my last post so I'll check later to see where we're at.

Much nicer! And feels warmer as well even though today was supposed to be the cooler of the days. And I think I found Matt’s 2 plastic patio chairs that blew away from his place several years ago! Oh and watch for very large rocks out on the river!

Much better looking satellite imagery today. We will see if it holds together but some rain is working into the southern sound. The system coming in tomorrow looks dynamic on satellite and radar…but the models don’t show anything today crazy. Not expecting much measurable precip until tomorrow most likely. For now it’s clouding up 71 outside.

We’ve only had 7 days with “good” air quality in the last month. First half of summer was fine, but the last 6 weeks have been crap.

ECMWF actually did show some rain during the afternoon and evening today.

Ain't that the truth. Just finished my Database class at UW a few days ago that I got my first 4.0 in a while. That being said, MySQL has driven me genuinely insane for our final project.

I once had MySQL decide to do an auto-update on itself on Ubuntu Linux and it turned into an auto-corrupt instead. Fun stuff. Thankfully I take nightly backups.

One more note... that smoke in SW BC is actually heading west at 72 hours with SE flow aloft around ULL offshore.

Wow, that looks awful for poor @Rubus Leucodermis. Also, it looks like I did not pick a great weekend to vacation in Victoria. Just gotta hope it’s temporary and the worst gets pushed out to sea after the end of the run.

We've had a pretty good run of luck in terms of missing out on surface smoke so far. Maybe we luck out again.
