People think I’m a weenie/troll/karen complaining about summer 24/7, but they’d all be doing the same thing in my shoes.

It’s really awful. This summer was the “easiest” since 2014 yet I’m still exhausted. Time for a change.

I just think that living in the DC metro area and whining about heat and humidity is a little like living in North Bend, WA and whining about rain.

Fair point, but this could be my last year here. 🤞 Should be finished with school after this semester and will be looking for work in a new climate come spring.

Hardest part will be convincing my better half to go along with it. Even a short distance move like State College PA would make a huge difference.

QBO progressing nicely. Looks like bonafide easterly for the meat of winter.

September 7th. We're gradually moving towards the return of gradient updates, 850mb/925mb charts, model riding, 6-10/8-14 day 500mb analogs, posting and scrutinizing every single frame, "notches", thinking Cold and SNOW!, and everything in between.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

It’s like somebody turned off the weather machine out there. My max wind gust today was 7 mph. An incredibly calm day.

Nov 6 last year — I think the snow level got down to about 2,000 ft on Tiger Mountain. Not unusual for that time of year but the rapid switch flip to winter-ish weather was something.

Last November was pretty outstanding. 10th coldest on record for Oregon. Always a major win when we can score a top 10 cold month as the warm ones are a dime a dozen. As I’ve mentioned before March was the 3rd coldest in Oregon since 1893. Kinda wild.

November 1st for me, just missing a legendary white Halloween here. We didn't get our first frost for another couple of days. Oct 19th is the day which 90% of years have had a frost before it as a comparison.

Heard a rumble of thunder. Haven't seen any lightning but my spouse said she saw some. Distant but enough to put the cats on alert. They don't freak out too much with tstorms or fireworks.

It really is. Wasn’t gonna post this in fear of Fred’s wrath, but what the hell.

Have never experienced hail in September in my entire life. This year has been so crazy in so many ways.

Looks like a consequence of Lee undergoing ET and sending the polar jet into amplification mode. Maybe they will be what finally triggers a pattern change around here.

Woke up and checked the gauge. Got .15 here and the ground, the grass, the cars, etc are all really wet. This is great since we started getting dry again and had that fire a few days ago. Unexpected blessing.
