First one of the season. Change is afoot.

Summer seems to have ended here too. Earliest I can remember in over a decade. Hope the good fortune continues into the winter. 🤞

The Wiz usually arrives back at the forum this time of the year…Unless he has decided to take this El Niño off

Just checked his profile, last time he was on here was April 22nd. Think we need to expand our search party to not only include Brian in Leavenworth and Kayla, but also Jim!

Might be a good winter for him to skip. Honestly.

Even last winter which was statistically impressive in several ways…he was disappointed about it. He kinda had a freak out at the end of March and he hasn’t been on since I’m sure he’s just fine though.
I’m not feeling anything good about this winter either. I’d be surprised if we had more than a slushy inch or two…I’ll be happy with anything we get. It wouldn’t be surprised if we had little to nothing like 2014-2015 and 2015-2016.

I’m getting some new tires put on this weekend.  Should jinx any chance of the white stuff falling early in the season.  🌭

Definitely feels like a dud is in the cards. Hopefully we can eke out a Dec 1972 miracle tho.

Euro coming in juicy again, gotta love it. And it's a nice southerly AR that won't have a shadow in Puget Sound.

I think this would earn a boom!

12Z ECMWF is pretty nice after the big rain event on Monday.   Shows some showers but with lots of sun Tuesday through Thursday in southerly flow and then another system moving in on Thursday night.

I think that was the winter it snowed 5" in Bellingham on a 14°F night. Cold enough to squeak when walked on!

Seriously, after the recent run of winters, I am expecting something of a dud, particularly with El Niño conditions.

We had a foot of powder snow fall in about 4 hours the night before I took that photo.  Cleared the truck with a leaf blower.
