Absolutely rocking and rolling out there. Main storm just a couple miles south moving through the state park, but getting some rain and tons of thunder.

This year has had the most thunderstorms of any year I’ve lived here and it’s not even close. The best was the thunder snow in March, but today has been pretty awesome.

86 at SEA today.    Warmer than the ECMWF showed.   It's cool bias might be coming back for fall.   GFS was closer.   Maybe some more 80s ahead... but next 2 days look chilly.

Good win. Not 81-7 tho.

Look at those empty seats. Plenty of empty space at Autzen today too. As both teams move to the big ten expect their popularity to wane as wins become more scarce.

Had a high of 88 degrees today in the Puyallup Valley.

Celebrated a family members birthday out on the patio and it was hot hot hot.

Looking forward to some cooler temps and then another good run of sun and warmth to close out summer.

Much better than that dry lightning fest you had last week. Wet thunderstorms are the best.

Constant thunder and lightning since 3p, not sure on rain, a lot of these storms have clipped us. I’ll go check once this storm passes.

The emergency alerts keep coming up on TV, I get excited then realize I’m on the far northern end. Maybe later tonight.

0.20” of rain. Not a ton, but not bad, especially after having nearly an inch on Thursday.

I’m gonna be honest since no one, perhaps by choice ever brought it up. But the Euro’s performance as of late has been somewhat poor. I’m sure, it’s still better than the GFS, but I was not impressed with how it handled systems that went through late August.

It was solid most of summer... cool bias was gone.   Not sure what is happening now but it seems to be creeping back in and its missing more frequently.

Ended up with a warmer than expected 89/58 day here. Went on a hike today and leaving the Portland area it was already in the mid-upper 70s by late morning. The thought crossed my mind, could PDX hit 90 today? Of course they did.

Hoping for some good storms tonight to make up for it.

Looks like summertime warming has been more pronounced in NW Oregon/SW Washington and parts of the south sound than it has in the south Willamette valley. At least according to this map.

Just got back from a wedding in Aurora, Or.  Crazy lightning and torrential rain on I 5 south of Woodburn.

Sorry that my wife had to drive because I had too many whisky sours!

Now watching lightning to the north from home. 66f dp of 64. So nice!
