Also been thinking about Cumberland near Comox. I think it's around 600'.

Cumberland is a nice little community.  More affordable and smaller homes. Can be quite a snowy spot.  It’s likely snowing there right now.

Seems incredibly unlikely. Models predict 1-2" for us all the time, we usually score less than 0.1".

Looks like the snow level is around 4,000 ft in the WA Cascades right now. 

The cold front is near Westport on the coast and is sharply defined (check out the doppler velocity).

The first impressive system of this Fall is winding up off Vancouver Island moving southeastward. A strong sharply defined cold front off the Washington coast will approach our area this evening. To our north cold, arctic air is slowly seeping south towards southern British Columbia. Hopefully we see a lot of this the next 4-5 months.

I think the front just passed my area if you look closely at the radar, there is distinctive line (maybe colder air coming through) that goes from NW to SE.

It intensified by 110mph in 24 hours. More than three times the wind speed to be qualified as rapid intensification. Breaks the old 24 hour record of 75mph set by Patricia.

Patricia's 24 hour record is intact (the 75 you're referring to is 12 hour, Patricia intensified 120 in 24 hours). The 12 hour record was broken though, since it intensified by 90 mph.

I have a feeling we will see this pattern again sometime this winter. This time with colder air in place!
