Same latitude, different climate. Around 35.1 North, Southeast US Climates are vastly r compared to the West Coast climates. Not even close.

Sky looks more like a overcast summer monsoon type of day. 
Sunsets at 5:00pm tonight. 10 minutes later than at the beginning of the month. Progress.

Made it to 74 today despite the thick overcast and sprinkles/light rain most of the day. Very strange day it was.

Probably the most unusual offshore day I've ever seen. The afternoon turned out partly sunny despite the surprise light rain in the morning. And it's still mild now despite being dark for hours a la a normal Santa Ana event/if monsoon moisture were in play.
