Can anyone get the 03z or 02z HRRR snowfall totals? It's not working right now for those two runs, but I don't know if that's because of my bad hotel connection or not.

ORD picked up 0.4" up until their 6:00pm observation...wondering if they hit 1.0"...if they did, that would be 36.7" for the season and that's the yearly average.

MSN is a close call...been looking at HRRR and your right on the border.  Shows it snowing around 10:00am out by you...thinking 1" at the most.  If it can jog a little north you may hit 2".

So I am gonna with 1 inch in Geos area to about 2-3 inches for Dupage, Dekalb, Joliet, Rockford and Cook to 3-5 inches from near Freeport to Peoria and NE to about Kankakee.

Would love to get 1-2" here in South Beloit tomorrow. Looks like Dubuque is gonna do pretty good on this one, disappointed I can't be home to enjoy it.

4" reported in Grand Forks, ND...it was snowing pretty heavily there for a while.  I'm thinking the snow flakes will be pretty large when the snow arrives.  Good DGZ growth is expected.

Winter weather advisories have gone a bit north to DeKalb and Joliet. Graphic calling for 2-4 inches for most of Chicago and 4-6 inches southwest in N-Central IL.

DBQ and Quads getting smoked with that band moving into W IL. Hopefully that will continue to hold it's ground and smack us with some impressive rates later.

Yeah I like how this looks on radar for NE IL. Heaviest snow stretching for SE Minnesota down to the Quad Cities. It looks like the heaviest band would make a beeline towards all of NE IL if it holds. The SREF Plumes went up to a bit over 3 inches for ORD so that is a good sign possibly.

I heard it was snowing "like crazy" back in Dubuque. Would love to see what they have for accumulations so far. I think they end with 3-4"..

At 8:28 there were multiple reports of 2" in Dubuque. Should be to at least 2.5" now, so 3-4" is looking very likely by the end of it. Very solid.

 

Now I just hope I see some snow here in South Beloit.

I like my chances of getting 2-3"...looks like it is pivoting nicely to give NE IL some decent snows.  Probably light/moderate snows just hoping the northern edge doesn't weaken too much with a weakening system.

It seems like the heaviest banding has a bit of a E/NE component. If this holds together the city on south should get hit pretty good with some heavy snow.

Got about 0.5" down right now, radar filled in better since I did some shopping.  Roads are snow covered and slick out there.  Might actually get 1.5" outta this system.  This morning it looked pretty dismal.  Heavier returns building from the SW and rotating into NE IL.

It's coming down like crazy here even though the radar returns are abysmal. I just drove home and the roads were terrible and cars were slipping everywhere.
