Not really.  The thing that makes me hesitant to call early March spring is the fact we've had some big snow and cold events through March 10 or so.

37 here with mostly rain, ended February with 5.04" and 28.55" for winter (DJF), my wettest ever.  Definitely wasn't expecting that during an El Nino.

36.3 here this morning. Looks like a pretty good blob of moisture heading this way. Hopefully it holds together and gives us some flakes.

Small craft advisory and unfavorable wind/wave/tide conditions for our intended fishing spots means we cancelled our planned blackmouth fishing for today's opener.  Looks like tomorrow may be equally poor.  Might have to wait till Wednesday to tap in to our first Chinook of 2024.  34 degress with intermittet rain and the ever occassional snowflake mixed in on the east shore of lake tapps.

Looking at the radar loop from overnight it appears there was some activity out here at times but there is no snow on the ground and its just wet out there.

ECMWF shows the most solid band of moisture over the next 3 days coming through today... but right in the middle of the afternoon.

36 degrees with what looks like a decent blob of heavy moisture heading for Eugene. There's a good chance of flakes.

I woke up early to check up on the snow chances. It might not work out so I'm watching Twister for the tenth time. If anyone wants a link. Let me know. It is free and no registration or anything like that is required but sometimes it'll fucck up.

Yeah, overall I didn’t really expect much last night. Maybe another night over the next few days will work out but I’d expect more of the same mostly. slightly too warm and not heavy enough precip. On my drive to work in snoqualmie this morning the only place I saw snow on the ground was tiger mountain. Even here at 900’ we’re just below the accumulating snowfall line.

Too warm unfortunately, not a huge surprise though in a SW flow regime. Temps look consistent in the next few days so I expect the same result. Ended the winter with a half inch of snow. Maybe next year!

With several rounds of potential overnight precip coming the next few days I wouldn’t be surprised if atleast one night did work out for some people. Still a chance. For the most part though…the next few days the only people who are probably going to be scoring big are the typical favored spots.

The NWS Portland is finally saying that some accumulations are possible down here for the next several days. I for the first time in quite a while am trusting them more than the crappy GFS and Euro. They've been horrible lately.

You guys in Oregon seem to do pretty good with early spring snowfalls based on recent years. Your odds are probably a little higher than ours up this way…but I haven’t extensively looked into the models like I normally would. Just been checking the precip maps…925mb temps and surface temps here occasionally.

Snow line is fairly high on Mt Si this morning.

24 degrees here now, low of 23. We picked up an inch of snow last night, and mt bachelor is up to 114". Thought the mountains would get more snow out of this, snow totals have been a little disappointing.

Bizzare how much higher the snow line is compared to here. Snowline is like 200’ higher here I’d guess. Looks like it’s over 2000’ on Si.

I woke up briefly at 3am and it was mixed. Pretty lame and went back to bed. Snow line looks fairly low though on mountains on my side of the watershed.
