Disgusting smoke here. Awful and hot. Smoke might keep us from hitting the century mark but it will also trap heat.

Cottage Grove, Dexter-Lowell and Creswell AQI deteriorating. So fuckking done with this shitt every goddam year.

So sad as summer weather only begun a month ago with June being so cool and wet. 😞

Different climate up there, but at least down here there’s still plenty of nice weather in September and usually early October. I don’t like to above 90 and that usually becomes fairly hard to do after September 10th or so.

I thought we came to a consensus that smoke didn’t actually trap heat. 🤔

Randy’s climate where he lives is a much different reality than most of us lol. A fairly typical June is fairly gloomy and wet compared to the rest of our locations. He had like an inch of rain in the past couple days.

pretty clear here today (no smoke). going to an outdoor concert Sunday evening.  hopefully smoke stays away, already going to be hot as balls

I have a feeling that the Marlboro Man is riding north. It's just a matter of time until he arrives. I think this commercial was filmed somewhere outside of Pasco.😉

The thing that made him even more stupid is the vehicle has many ways to identify whose it was.  He may not have even intended to start a forest fire.  If so that would make him even more stupid.

We've got some local fires now around here making things pretty gross.

My daughter has been sending pics of the one west of Loveland. Hopefully they get a handle on it.

None here yet, though I’m certain the wealth will be spread around widely and generously. In fact, I’m repairing an air conditioner today in anticipation of the above.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Yeah, ironically smoke is kind of a cold lover's wet dream. Blocks sunlight in the day and doesn't do much to inhibit radiational cooling at night.

I wonder how many records PDX has been robbed of in the past decade due to smoke.

I remember some rampant online rumors that Kevin Martin started some of the fall 2007 fires in SoCal.

Guy was just willing to go the extra mile for his smoke inversions....

Maybe one in early August 2017, another in early September 2017, and maybe September 8-9, 2020. In most cases I don't think it's been a huge deterrent.
