I’m not a fan either…However after nearly 5 years of HughsNet satellite internet (dial up equivalent) and 1 bar if we are lucky of not even 3G cell service, and watching Netflix via DVD’s that were mailed to us…We no longer hated Elon quite as much when StarLink came around!

Not sure why anyone would actually hate Elon. Probably just jealousy. He’s the Thomas Edison of our time. Yes he’s odd, but if you are posting in this forum you are probably on the spectrum too.

Can’t complain much about the weather since the long hot streak in mid July. Looks like 2 days mid to upper 80s coming here but then back to mid 70s for awhile. Kind of weird considering it’s mid August and this has been a more reliably warm month for some time. 
 10 days ago this period of weather looked pretty sustainably warm/hot but it’s actually been pretty great. Through mid July we barely even saw any clouds here but have much more frequently gotten marine layer intrusions since.

Yesterday was a total gift.  There was no hint of that at all a couple of days before it happened.  Today was great as well.  I was expecting the worst for this month and we could end up far better...maybe even normalish when all is said and done.

Haha, I sure do.  About half of my 2 acres of grass is in the shade much of the day so it's still green and growing.  I also received nearly 1.5 inches of rain from that past front that moved through.

86/56 day here. Pretty thick layer of mid and upper level smoke moved in during the afternoon, mostly from the devastating fire near Trout Lake. Likely kept the temps down a few degrees but at such a cost.

      That is likely not accurate. More trustworthy polls are showing very favorable results for Trump. The media used to discuss Nate Silver's polls, but they are no longer mentioning him since he is predicting a Trump victory. Furthermore, Nate is a leftist. And they're still attempting to assassinate Trump, which suggests that there is a good chance he is ahead in the race. The would-be assassin is someone well-connected, as he had been in contact with Ukrainian officials regarding other matters. He was not acting alone. There is likely a mole within Trump's inner circle who communicated with him, as how else would he have known to be there when this was not a publicly scheduled game?

      Wikipedia says 34". The interesting thing is, despite how much snow more I average than points further south, for most of the winter it’s just like everyplace else in the lowlands, because the norm is still mild and rainy. It’s just a matter of having a few more chances for snow, and there being a higher rainfall, so those chances lead to heavier snowfalls on average.
