This is off topic, but jesus. I take TriMet most days…the way Portland’s city government deals with crime is a joke.

Before we got married my wife lived in Beaverton and we would take the Max downtown at least once or twice a week. Never had a problem, but that was some years ago.

The violent nature of this persons first offense combined with the intensity of this attack show an escalation, I have no doubt this offender will eventually kill if he is put back out on the streets.

The 0z Euro was pretty weak with the trough next week, but this morning's GFS/CMC look much better. Hopefully Euro follows suit.

GFS shows a decent amount of rain on some fire areas that could really use it.

They’ve performed a masterclass in making my wife and daughter cry this season so far.

Here's to hoping that Arctic boundary sets up in southern Oregon a bunch. We haven't had a snowfall that covered the roads and stuck around all day since Feb 2019.

We did have a destructive ice storm and sub freezing highs last Jan so that was interesting but it would be nice to have some snow again. Other places in Oregon have done much better than Springfield since Dec 2021 when we had 3 straight nights of snow that melted during the afternoon hours.

We haven’t seen a snowfall greater than 1ft since Jan 2017. What gives?

When was the last time you had even an inch of snow since Dec 2021?

For Springfield (NOT EUG) it has likely had the least of any location in the PNW. Some nights of a dusting and nothing else. Didn't even cover the roads.

The arctic boundary can stall right around north Everett with massive continuous moisture pumping in just to the north of it…Right at the Snohomish/Skagit border.

That's a major issue facing a lot of cities across the country. Covid was the death blow to office real estate.
