Williams Mine Fire near Mt Adams has also flared up today. Fortunately no other activity in WA that can be readily seen on visible satellite. 

Based on the incident report it also seems like that fire is staying within containment lines and has been largely beneficial, other than a few days at the beginning:

KSEA nearing record high territory, it might go down at the top of the hour. Nearly two months since the last record high, I thought we might never get another one!

It's directly east of downtown Spokane in Spokane Valley. It generally runs warmer than KGEG. It's around 400 or 500 feet lower.

Which event (wasn't that long ago) was it where the low was supposed to track in around Tacoma or Seattle and everyone north of it was supposed to get a bunch of snow with temps remaining below freezing…But it ended up tracking further north and everyone turned to rain from about Marysville south while I remained in the 20’s with lots of snow? 
 

That was magical! 

 

January was great for me. Snapped this just after a squall that dumped 2.3" in 30 minutes had wrapped up, and there was more snow yet to come that day!

Models show today being the warmest day or the same as tomorrow.  I overheard a guy at the dentist office today who said tomorrow would be hotter than today also.  Am I missing something?
